#DockerDash| DockerCon 2017, Interactive Video Game
DESCRIPTION
DockerCon is Docker's largest event, a four day developer conference focused on all things related to Containerization. The Keynote is the opening session for all attendees and sets the tone for the entire event.
In order to kick off the event with a bang, we leaned into Docker's playful brand and technological ingenuity to create a love letter to the early days of hacking and computing by custom designing a massive, interactive, gesture controlled, retro video game for the 5000+ attendees in attendance.
The giant video game brought to life the Docker platform and ecosystem of products and took the audience through the learning experience of the three core audience segments (New User/Dev, Ops/DevOps, Enterprise) and learning tracks relevant to those users.
The crowd was physically engaged, as they were tasked with bouncing a large, glowing whale around the room in order to control the game action on screen.
The opening was a success, trending on social media, creating a palpable buzz in the halls of the convention center, all while communicating Docker's product benefits in way that was smart, fun and innovative.
